Celebrate Labor Day with us! The ABGB invited us to be a part of its epic Fourth Anniversary Party by kicking off the day with an “Apple Bomb Jump” competition (named affectionately after our newest cider) at Barton Springs Pool on Labor Day beginning at 11 a.m. sharp. Everyone over 21 is encouraged to invent their take on the Apple Bomb off the Barton Springs Pool diving board. Originality and splash will factor in to the winning jump, which will be judged by Argus Cidery owners Wes and Jeff Mickel, plus ABGB owner and brewer, Amos Lowe. The winner will receive a VIP Party for four at the Argus Tasting Room, where we will send the winner home with their arms full of cider. The first 50 divers will get special treatment at an Apple Bomb Party within a party later that day at The ABGB. Entrants must pay their on fee in to Barton Springs, and will meet the crew at the diving board for a chance to make Apple Bomb history.

Argus Cidery’s newest fermentable offering, Cherry Vin, will debut on shelves soon in beloved amber stubby bottles – but until then, the we are hosting a preview party on Saturday, September 2.
Guests will be the first to try the 100% cherry fermentable, and Confituras pop-up will sell their scratch biscuits, jam and pastries (until sold out). Wes will be behind the bar serving Cherry Vin at the tasting room and have it available to-go, while Jeff will give tours of the cider house at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Join craft beer, spirit and cider enthusiasts on a day trip out to the Texas Hill Country. Enjoy two complimentary tastings, a cocktail and pizza along the Libations Trail Ride. The trip provides roundtrip transportation to and from Downtown Austin.
